Since its launch in 2014, the Jr. NBA/ Jr.WNBA program in Thailand has reached more than two million boys and girls across the country. In 2021, Jr. NBA/ Jr.WNBA Thailand launched 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 basketball tournaments for boys and girls.
Additionally, Jr. NBA/ Jr.WNBA Coaches Academy – the program’s government-supported initiative which aims to enhance local basketball development by establishing standards, guidelines, and best practices for youth coaches – has trained over 6,300 teachers from more than 4,100 schools in 14 cities across Thailand, with stops in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Had Yai, Lampang, Trang, Udon Thani and more.
