1. Stephen Curry
Golden State’s Stephen Curry checked in to his first game after missing six weeks with an MCL injury. Curry hit his first shot off the bench before going on to net 28 points. The Warriors defeated the Pelicans, 121-116, to take a 2-0 lead in the series.
2. Overtime Thriller
The Cleveland Cavaliers came back from a double-digit deficit to take the Toronto Raptors to overtime on Tuesday night. The Cavaliers would go on to take Game 1, 113-112.
3. LeBron James
Cleveland’s LeBron James had 26 points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds for his 21st career playoff triple-double in the Cavaliers’ Game 1 win over the Raptors. James shot 12 for 30, going 1 for 8 from 3-point range, and called it ”probably one of my worst games of the season.” Still, he came through when it counted, tying the score with two baskets in the final 92 seconds of regulation to seal Cleveland’s comeback.
