NBA All-Star 2023

The Jr. NBA will celebrate youth basketball at NBA All-Star 2023 in Salt Lake City, Utah by hosting a series of on-court competitions and off-court programming for kids and coaches, including a Coaches Development Workshop, Her Time To Play Clinic, STEM Clinic, and Skills Challenge Local Competition. All events will take place in the Jr. NBA Festival Hall at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

  • Coaches Workshop

    *Registration for the Coaches Workshop is now closed. 

    The Jr. NBA will host a workshop for youth basketball coaches of all levels and genders to help them develop on the court as well as provide tools for coaches to teach their players life lessons and skills through basketball. The clinic will consist of instruction covering Jr. NBA resources/curriculum, movement mechanics, and mental performance led by NBA coaches as well as a workshop led by Positive Coaching Alliance to help them develop and create inclusive environments within youth sports.

  • Her Time To Play

    Her Time To Play is the WNBA’s initiative dedicated to providing girls with opportunities to learn, play and love the game of basketball regardless of skill level. The WNBA will host a Her Time To Play event that will include a panel discussion led by WNBA players, a workshop on mental wellness, and a basketball clinic featuring fundamental basketball drills.

  • STEM Clinic

    *Registration for the STEM Clinic is now closed. 

    The Jr. NBA and NBA G League have partnered with Microsoft and 4th Family to host a STEM-themed basketball clinic aimed at highlighting the intersections of sports and STEM. Participants will be able to learn about how concepts such as the scientific method, data visualization, and data collection, are simply a way to better understand the world around them, whether in a school classroom or on a basketball court!

  • Skills Challenge

    *Registration for the Skills Challenge is now closed. 

    The Jr. NBA Skills Challenge is a national competition that provides boys and girls, ages 13 and under, the opportunity to showcase their fundamentals through a dribbling, shooting, passing and defensive skills competition. The Jr. NBA will host a Skills Challenge Local Competition where boys and girls will compete separately in two different age groups (11U and 13U) for the opportunity to advance to the National Finals and receive an all-expense paid trip to New York during NBA Draft 2023.
