NBA All-Star 2019

The Jr. NBA presented by Under Armour will celebrate youth basketball at NBA All-Star 2019 in Charlotte and host a series of on-court competitions and off-court programming, including a Skills Challenge, Coaches Forum, 3v3 tournament, and Her Time To Play panel session.

  • Her Time To Play
    Her Time To Play was created to inspire the next generation of girls, ages 7-14, to play basketball in a positive and healthy way. Girls ages 7-14 can attend a panel session designed to foster dialogue on how to break barriers and pursue one’s dreams by featuring stories of female trailblazers across the NBA/WNBA who impact the game through their respective roles and responsibilities.

  • Skills Challenge
    The Jr. NBA Skills Challenge presented by Under Armour is a national competition that provides boys and girls, ages 9-13, the opportunity to showcase their fundamentals through a dribbling, shooting, and rebounding competition. Participants will compete to win an all-expense paid trip to compete at the National Finals in New York during the 2019 NBA Draft.

    Who Is Eligible: Boys and Girls, 11U and 13U

  • 3v3 Tournament
    The Jr. NBA 3v3 All-Star Tournament is a 3-on-3 weekend competition for boys and girls ages 10-13 to determine a regional champion in each age division and gender. All division winners will represent the state of North Carolina and qualify to compete at the National Championship scheduled on April 13 in Dallas, TX.

    Time: 12:00 – 4:00 pm

    Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

    Who Is Eligible: Boys and Girls, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U

    Registration Fee: $40 per team (5 player max)

  • Coaches Forum
    The Jr. NBA has partnered with Athlete Ally, A Call to Men, Positive Coaching Alliance, and the Human Rights Campaign to host a forum designed to educate coaches on issues related to gender and sexuality, and empower coaches as leaders to create team cultures that embrace diversity and inclusion.
