NBA All-Star 2024

Join the Jr. NBA at NBA All-Star! The Jr. NBA will celebrate the rich legacy of basketball in Indiana by hosting a series of on-court competitions and off-court programming for kids and coaches of all levels and genders. All events will take place in the Jr. NBA Festival Hall at the Indiana Convention Center or Lucas Oil Stadium in downtown Indianapolis. Check out detailed information below about the individual events you can register for. Pre-registration is required to participate in each event. Please email jrnba@nba.com with any questions.   • Coaches Clinics

    The Jr. NBA will host two coaches clinics for youth basketball coaches of all levels and genders to help them develop on the court as well as provide tools for coaches to teach their players life lessons and skills through basketball. 

    For the Jr. NBA Coaches Clinic from 9:00 – 10:30 AM, youth basketball stakeholders will hear from NBA coaches on coaching best practices and strategies as well as participate in oncourt instruction. 

    For the Coaching Girls Clinic from 1:30 – 3:00 PMcoaches of girls and women’s basketball at all levels will participate in oncourt instruction and receive girl-centric tools to support keeping girls engaged in the sport.

    Who Is Eligible: Youth basketball coaches and administrators of all levels

    As part of the registration process, you will have the opportunity to register for one or both of the clinics.

  • Her Time To Play

    **THE HER TIME TO PLAY CLINIC IS NOW FULL

    Her Time To Play is the WNBA’s initiative dedicated to providing girls with opportunities to learn, play and love the game of basketball regardless of skill level. The WNBA will host a Her Time To Play clinic presented by Wilson Sporting Goods that will include a panel discussion led by WNBA players, a vision board workshop, and a basketball clinic featuring fundamental basketball drills.

    Who Is Eligible: Girls ages 7 and up

    NOTE: If you are participating in the Her Time To Play clinic, you can also register for the Jr. NBA Tournament. If you are interested in participating in both events, we ask that you register for each event separately.

  • Tournament

    **THE JR. NBA LEAGUES TOURNAMENT IS NOW FULL

    In celebration of the tip-off of Jr. NBA Leagues in Indiana, the Jr. NBA will host its first-ever Jr. NBA Leagues All-Star tournament for local 11U basketball teams in two divisions: 11U Boys and 12U Girls. Each team is guaranteed to play 2 games on Saturday, and the top team in each pool will advance to play on Sunday. Participants will receive exclusive Indiana Pacers and Fever jerseys to play in!

    Pool Play: Saturday, February 17, 12:00 – 6:00 PM @ Indiana Convention Center (100 S Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225)

    Playoffs/Championships: Sunday, February 18, 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM @ Lucas Oil Stadium (500 S Capitol Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46225)

    Who Is Eligible: Youth basketball players – Boys ages 9-11; Girls ages 9-12

    NOTE: If you are participating in the girls division for the Jr. NBA Tournament, you can also register for the Her Time To Play clinic. If you are interested in participating in both events, we ask that you register for each event separately.

  • Business of Basketball

    The Jr. NBA will host an event for local high school students to gain exposure to careers in basketball with an emphasis on game operations roles including officiating, video analytics, and statistics.

    The event will begin with an interactive conversation about insights on the business of basketball and various career pathways, led by sports industry professionals including NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League officials and executives.

    Participants will then engage in hands-on oncourt instruction, including game simulation drills to learn how to referee a game

    Who Is Eligible: High School Students

    Additionally, all parents are encouraged to attend and participate in an information session during the event to learn more about ways to leverage their child’s passion for the game as an opportunity for career exposure and social-emotional learning.

  • STEM Clinic

    **THE JR. NBA STEM CLINIC IS NOW FULL

    The Jr. NBA has partnered with 4th Family to host a STEM-themed basketball clinic aimed at highlighting the intersections of sports and STEM. Participants will be able to learn about how concepts such as the scientific method, data visualization, and data collection, are simply a way to better understand the world around them, whether in a school classroom or on a basketball court!

    Who Is Eligible: Youth basketball players ages 6-14

    NOTE: If you are participating in the Jr. NBA STEM Clinic, you can also register for the Jr. NBA Skills Challenge. If you are interested in participating in both events, we ask that you register for each event separately. You will be instructed to attend the STEM clinic first, and then after the STEM clinic ends at 12pm NBA staff will direct you to the Skills Challenge check-in.

  • Skills Challenge

    **THE JR. NBA SKILLS CHALLENGE IS NOW FULL

    The Jr. NBA Skills Challenge provides boys and girls, ages 13 and under, the opportunity to showcase their fundamentals through a dribbling, shooting, passing and defensive skills competition. Boys and girls will compete separately in two different age groups (11U and 13U) for the opportunity to win Jr. NBA and Indiana Pacers prizes.
