Jr. NBA celebrates MLK Jr. with Youth Basketball Tournament

The Jr. NBA hosted its first-ever Jr. NBA tournament supported by the Memphis Grizzlies during MLK Jr. Weekend. The 28 participating teams, both boys and girls U13 and U11, competed in pool play at Rhodes College on Sunday, Jan 17th. In addition to on-court play, the coaches, players, and parents engaged in a roundtable discussion led by WNBA All-Star Tamika Catchings and NBA legends Spencer Haywood, Penny Hardaway, and Jalen Rose. The championship games for each division were played on Monday, Jan 18th at FedExForum, home of the Memphis Grizzlies. All participants in the tournament received Jr. NBA reversible jerseys, drawstring bags, and wristbands. All the finalists received free tickets to the Memphis Grizzlies New Orleans Pelicans game on MLK Jr. Day!
