About Jr. NBA India

 

In 2023, the NBA and Reliance Foundation celebrated their 10th consecutive year of providing free, nationwide basketball programming across India. The Jr. NBA program is a comprehensive youth basketball development initiative that teaches the values and fundamentals of basketball to positively impact the lives of Indian youth. The program has reached more than 14 million youth and 15,000 physical education instructors across 35 cities nationwide since its launch in 2013.

 

RF Jr. NBA Program Alumni – Achievements / Accomplishments 

 

  • Anmolpreet Kaur Pannu was the 1st Indian woman to play professionally in the Japanese Basketball League (2022)
  • Amaan Sandhu was the first Indian-born male player to receive a scholarship to an NCAA D1 University (2022)
  • Harsh Dagar, Kushal Singh, and Lokendra Singh Secured Silver Medal at the  FIBA 3×3 U17 Asia Cup (2022)
  • Ann Mary Zachariah – Secured a D1 Scholarship in the US from Colorado State University (2023)
