About Jr. NBA China

The Jr. NBA program is dedicated to fostering the growth of basketball and the NBA among Chinese youths aged 6-18, with the overarching goal of nurturing a sports culture in the upcoming generation. This initiative is focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle and building strong character traits. Operating in China, the Jr. NBA offers a comprehensive schedule of competitions, camps, and training sessions year-round. These activities are designed to instill values such as teamwork, respect, determination, and community.

Jr. NBA League in China

Jr. NBA Guangdong League

A total of 18 teams competed in the 2023 Jr. NBA Guangdong League with over 200 players participating. The winners were Dongguan No. 4 Middle School on the men’s side and Shenzen Experimental School 2 on the women’s side.

Jr. NBA Shanghai League

In 2023, 12 teams competed in the Jr. NBA Shanghai League, with Shanghai Nanyang Model School defeating Shanghai Jiao Tong University in the finals.

Jr. NBA Liaoning League

Over 240 players and 34 teams participated in the Jr. NBA Liaoning League this year.

Jr. NBA Henan League

Over 190 players and 16 teams competed in the Jr. NBA Henan League in 2023. Henan Experimental Middle School won the women’s division while Zhengzhou No. 2 Middle School won the men’s division.

Jr. NBA Beijing League

The Jr. NBA Beijing League featured participation from 46 teams, with Beijing No 35 High School winning the women’s division and Beijing No 2 Middle School emerging victorious in the men’s division.

Jr. NBA Sichuan League

During November of 2022, 144 players from 12 teams competed in the Jr. NBA Sichuan League. Yibin No. 1 Middle School won both the men’s and women’s divisions.

Jr. NBA Shaanxi League

Over 300 players and 27 teams competed in this year’s Jr. NBA Shaanxi League. Xi’an Tieyi High School won the men’s division and XJTU High School won the women’s division.

Jr. NBA Jiangsu League

A total of 13 teams competed in the Jr. NBA Jiangsu League, with Nanjing No. 9 High School emerging as the champions in the men’s division and Jinling Middle School securing victory in the women’s division.
