A two-day Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Tournament in Cape Town featured 14 boys’ teams and 10 girls’ teams, along with a clinic that engaged 70 participants ages 10–16. The Shaq Squad won the girls’ division, while the Montana Vikings were crowned champions of the boys’ division.
NBA Africa, in partnership with ADS Solektra, unveiled a solar-powered basketball court in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo. The unveiling was followed by a Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA Tournament engaging 250 local youth participants.
A Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA 3v3 Tournament, held in partnership with Allianz, brought together 48 teams from 17 international schools. The tournament engaged more than 200 local youth participants, along with an additional 110 coaches, administrators and referees.
