Any time you play basketball there is a chance of injury. But there are certain things you can do to stay healthy. Follow some of the tips below to feel your best when you play!
Stretch – Stretching your muscles before you play is very important. When you stretch, it is much easier for your muscles to bend in all the right directions.
Warming up – Warming up happens after you stretch. Warming up can include jogging in place. Practicing your basketball skills is also a form of warming up.
Drinking fluids – Drinking water or a sports drink will keep you feeling strong during the game. If you don’t drink enough, you may get a belly ache and not feel well. Even if you don’t feel thirsty, you should drink something as the game goes along.
