The 2016 New York Liberty Basketball Academy featuring Liberty Legend Teresa Weatherspoon provided over 80 campers with a structural basketball learning experience that encouraged teamwork, commitment to the game, and personal development. The camp featured guest appearances by current Liberty players Brittany Boyd, Rebecca Allen, Amanda Zahui B, and former Liberty players Kym Hampton and Sue Wicks. In addition, there was a newly featured community service project where the campers created Liberty “Get Well Cards” and gift bags for the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital in Westchester.
