Annual NBA D-League Showcase features Youth Engagement

The first-ever Jr. NBA Night launched during the 2016 NBA D-League Showcase in Santa Cruz, CA. The night began with a Jr. NBA Clinic with participation from 75 youth from 3 local youth groups and 12 D-League players from four different teams. All participants received free tickets to the Sioux Falls vs. Raptors 905 game that night. In addition, the Santa Cruz Warriors hosted a Jr. NBA Pep Rally with over 1,000 youth in the Kaiser Permanente Arena. Select kids were called on the court to dance with the mascot and participate in a shootout. The entire Santa Cruz Warriors team, president, and coaching staff were in attendance.
