Terms of Registration

Thank you for your interest in the Jr. NBA! Below please find the terms of your registration.  We look forward to working with you to bring the Jr. NBA to as many youth as possible. By clicking the “I ACCEPT” button, you agree to these Terms of Registration.

For Organizations:

Eligibility: The Jr. NBA Program (“Program”) is open to clubs, schools, leagues and organization (each, an “Organization”) with a minimum of fifty (50) children between the ages of 6-14, who are legal residents of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia, or Canada (for a list of Jr. NBA programs in counties outside of the United States and Canada, please click here).   A school administrator, teacher, coach, administrative director, or other similar professional (each, an “Authorized Representative”) who is a legal resident of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia or Canada and is twenty-one (21) years of age or older must complete the registration. The Authorized Representative will be responsible for securing any necessary Club/School/Organizations permissions and insurance. Contact and Jr. NBA Kit and Other Benefits: After a registration has been received by the Jr. NBA, the Organization will be contacted within five (5) business days by a representative from the Jr. NBA to welcome the Organization and to verify identity.  Each approved Organization will be sent a free Jr. NBA Welcome Kit (the “Kit”) consisting of items helpful to marketing and coaching youth basketball.  The Kit may not be sold or given to any person or entity not authorized by the Jr. NBA.  Any misuse of Kit may result in the disqualification of the Organization.

In addition to receiving the Kit, in the future and at the discretion of the Jr. NBA, we plan for Organizations to have access to:

  • A national network of Jr. NBA events;
  • Discount uniform offers, discounted coach licensing from USA Basketball as well as professional development opportunities for coaches and administrators;
  • Opportunities for appearances from NBA and WNBA players and legends; and
  • Limited grant funding.

Releases/Waivers: For each child participating in an Organization’s Jr. NBA activities a waiver/release authorizing the child’s participating in the Program and releasing the Program from liability is required to be signed by the child’s parent or legal guardian.  Organizations must retain the waivers/releases in their records for a period of at least three (3) years and produce them at the request of the Jr. NBA.

All Authorized Representatives and Organizations consent to the use by the Jr. NBA, and their sponsors, affiliates, designees and any of their respective related entities of their name, voice, city, state of residence, biographical information, photograph, and/or other visual likeness for advertising and/or trade purposes and/or for the purpose of posting on NBA.com, TV or radio broadcasts and/or for any other purpose in any media or format now or hereafter know worldwide in perpetuity without compensation, permission or notification.
